Hotel Room Bibles

Last month we stayed at The Charles Hotel. It had been a while since I stayed in a m/hotel and I was reminded of the fact that most (all?) hotels have a bible in room.

Most of the bibles you find in hotels are thanks to a group of bible thumpers know as Gideons International who distribute bibles for free all over the world. The number of hotels which stock a bible in the room is up overall except for high end establishments which are removing them.

Will you be sad next time you open the nightstand drawer and find this oddity of American travel missing?
